AIG’s National Graduate Group

The National Graduate Group (NGG) is a new initiative by the AIG to better communicate with its graduate and student members. A number of graduate members of AIG were nominated by each state to sit on the National Graduate Committee and are responsible for generating and implementing NGG initiatives to improve communication and engagement with and between members of this professional society.

Overall, the NGG will do this by:

• Increasing student and graduate membership and assist in the transition to professional membership;
• Promoting interaction between all members;
• Providing progressive communication to student and graduate members; and
• Encouraging continued education and training.

For 2014/2015, the primary objectives are to:

• Build a strong online presence to facilitate communication;
• Contribute to AIG’s available online material;
• Support and reinforce AIG’s online accessibility;
• Communicate and promote the benefits of AIG membership across all membership levels;
• Improve the current participation/engagement by student and graduate members; and
• Begin trials on AIG’s new Mentor Program;
